Job Description

As a People Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering a consistent, high-quality People Operations service across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with the People Operations Lead and in partnership with local and global People teams, you'll take ownership of core employee lifecycle processes, provide guidance to employees and managers, and contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that shape how we work. This is a hands-on, collaborative role for someone who brings operational rigour, a strong service mindset, and a genuine interest in building great people experiences at scale.

This role is based in Chippendale, Sydney and reporting to the People Operations Lead.

You will...

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers on People-related queries, providing clear, consistent guidance on policies and HR processes in line with ANZ legislative requirements.
  • Execute, coordinate and support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding, while partnering with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Field HR, and Global People Shared Services.
  • Maintain high-quality HR data in Workday, ensuring accurate and timely updates that uphold Workday as the single source of truth across ANZ.
  • Partner with Global People Shared Services to support effective process execution, proactively flagging service gaps and contributing to quality and SLA outcomes.
  • Contribute to local and global People Operations projects, taking end-to-end ownership of defined workstreams and driving practical process improvements.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc People Operations reporting, analyzing data to surface trends, risks, and insights for leadership.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and application of ANZ People Operations policies, ensuring documentation is current and compliant.
  • Coordinate visa, immigration, and right-to-work processes across ANZ with external providers and the Global Mobility CoE.

You have...

  • At least 3 years' experience in an HR operations, People services, or HR generalist role, including hands-on coordination of employee lifecycle processes.
  • Working knowledge of Australian and NZ employment legislation and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with an HRIS (Workday experience highly regarded).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

You are...

  • A confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and a genuine service orientation.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive collaborator who thrives on taking ownership of projects and delivering practical, scalable solutions.

What you'll get in return...

  • The chance to have a significant impact in a leading global food technology company
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Egoless environment, constant learning with room for personal growth
  • Free access to Headspace
  • HelloFresh Academies - internal learning & development
  • A diverse and vibrant international environment, with offices in 18 countries
  • Company discount - 70% off HelloFresh & 40% off Youfoodz
