About the role
We’re hiring a Senior Brand Designer to shape how Flexport shows up in the world, from our website and campaigns to the keynote in front of a thousand people. You’ll work directly with our CEO and marketing team to bring our brand, vision, and narrative to life. Your work will be the foundation for the rest of the organization to launch, sell, and grow our business.
What you’ll do
- Turn creative direction into market-ready assets for campaigns, events, and product launches, and hold the quality bar when deadlines get tight.
- Evolve our brand guidelines, templates, and component libraries so teams across Flexport can move quickly while adhering to our brand standards.
- Design brand-forward web experiences with our developers and digital marketers, including pages built in our content management system (CMS), Sanity.
- Build executive presentations, sales decks, and keynote visuals that propel our narrative forward.
- Design and animate short brand videos, product explainers, social motion, and event visuals that help bring our storytelling to life.
- Create custom illustrations, icons, and data visualizations that make complicated logistics ideas clear and simple.
- Deploy artificial intelligence (AI) tools for ideation, image generation, and production. You’ll help us scale using AI and determine the best tools for the best medium.
- Brief and manage outside designers, agencies, and freelancers so their work arrives on time and looks like Flexport.
What you’ll bring
- 5 to 7 years in brand design, visual communication, or a similar creative role, ideally at a fast-moving tech or business-to-business (B2B) company.
- A portfolio with range across identity, campaigns, web, presentations, and motion, showing strong typography, layout, and hierarchy, along with the thinking behind your choices.
- Deep skill in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, comfort in Keynote and Google Slides, and hands-on time with Canva and Claude Design.
- Motion skills in After Effects or a similar tool such as Rive, Lottie, or Jitter, plus the ability to storyboard and direct short video.
- A daily habit of using AI in your creative process, and opinions about where it helps and where it falls short.
- Experience evolving brand guidelines and building templates for people who aren’t designers.
- The project management and communication skills to juggle several workstreams and stakeholders, and the confidence to present your work to executives.
- Experience managing creative vendors or freelancers.
- Working knowledge of HyperText Markup Language (HTML) or a CMS such as Sanity.
