Company Description

At Bosch, we shape the future with technologies that enrich people’s lives. Join Robert Bosch Robotics GmbH as the hands-on architect of Robotics AI within our initial Industrial Robot Skills team. Define how predictive models, reasoning, executable skills and control work together, then implement and test the critical ideas on real robots. Welcome to Bosch.

The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!

Job Description

  • As part of our team, you will own technical integrity and delivery outcomes from ingestion through processing, curation, and delivery, while defining explicit data contracts, quality criteria, reproducibility, and acceptance evidence.
  • In the technical lead focus, you will take ownership of architecture, critical implementation, dataset versioning, and lineage. You demonstrate correctness, partial-failure recovery, and repeatable deployment under realistic workloads.
  • Additionally, you will drive measured throughput, reliability, and cloud-cost performance. Together with the product owner, you establish workload budgets, diagnose regressions, and demonstrate the impact of optimizations through comparable runs.
  • With a technical product owner focus, you will own requirements, backlog priorities, and release-readiness decisions. You resolve stakeholder trade-offs using data-quality evidence, operating constraints, and measured outcomes. You ensure access controls are implemented and verified in line with agreed privacy and retention requirements. You preserve evidence linking requirements, configurations, tests, and releases.
  • Within our Agentic AI Software Factory, you will use coding agents for implementation, test generation, review preparation, and documentation. You validate their output through reproducible checks and human review while preserving traceability, with controlled access to code and data.

Qualifications

  • Education: completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • personal ownership of complex production data delivery with measured outcomes
    • strong Python/SQL skills within the technical lead focus, including distributed processing, pipeline architecture and implementation, observability and failure recovery
    • demonstrated ownership within the technical product owner focus of data-product requirements, prioritization, acceptance criteria and release decisions, with depth to challenge architecture, quality and operational constraints
    • strong understanding across both tracks of data contracts, lineage, reproducibility, access controls, cloud cost and reliability
    • substantiated experience in at least one track through personal decisions or implementations, including a difficult failure or trade-off; general coordination or backlog administration alone is insufficient
    • relevant experience with technologies such as Python, SQL, object storage, workflow orchestration, data catalogs, infrastructure as code and CI/CD
  • Personality and Working Practice: you bring technical rigor and a strong sense of ownership, making decisions explicit while challenging assumptions and balancing technical ambition with dependable data delivery
  • Enthusiasm: for data infrastructure that makes robot learning experiments and customer deliveries reproducible
  • Languages: very good spoken and written German and English
