Job Description

At Experian Marketing Services (EMS), we help businesses better understand consumers and make confident decisions through data. Our team works with some of Australia's leading organisations, combining rich consumer and commercial data with innovative marketing solutions to solve business challenges.

This role focuses on presales and is ideal for someone with a background in analytics, marketing technology, data, insights, or a related field, who is keen to develop their consulting and client-facing skills.

You'll report to Principal Analytics Consultant and work with experienced presales consultants, sales teams and solution experts, learning how to understand client needs, shape solutions and communicate the value of our products. Through a mix of hands-on project work, coaching and client exposure, you'll build the skills and confidence to grow into a trusted consultant.

What you'll do

  • Support presales opportunities across a range of marketing, data and analytics solutions.
  • Research client challenges and help identify solutions that align with their goals.
  • Assess solution feasibility and investigate how our products, data and services can create value.
  • Prepare client presentations, proposals and supporting materials.
  • Participate in discovery sessions, solution workshops and client meetings.
  • Help with meeting preparation, follow-up activities and transitions to delivery teams.
  • Contribute to implementation and delivery projects to develop practical product knowledge.
  • Build an understanding of Experian's consumer and commercial data, insights and marketing solutions.
  • Partner with colleagues across sales, product and delivery teams to improve client outcomes.
  • Progress towards leading parts of client presentations and managing your own presales opportunities as your skills grow.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Around 2–3 years' experience in an analytical, technical, data, marketing or related role.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in analytics, business, marketing, data, technology or a related field.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in consumer data and marketing.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to investigate a problem, ask good questions and explain what you find.
  • Some experience with analytical or data tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx or Snowflake would be useful, but we don't expect expertise across all of them.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with an interest in developing presentation and client-facing skills.
