Company Description

Experian is a global data and technology company, powering opportunities for people and businesses around the world. We operate across a range of markets, from financial services to healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, insurance, and many more. Experian invests in people and new advanced technologies to unlock the power of data. We have an amazing team of 25,200 people in 32 countries.

Job Description

This is a Senior Director-level leadership role with enterprise-wide accountability for platform standards, developer experience, and engineering productivity. Beyond product ownership, you will lead a team and guide cross-functional execution, influencing senior stakeholders, and advocating for the adoption of SDLC, CI/CD, and Cloud Native standards across the organization.

Operating with a product mindset, you will partner with Infrastructure, Security, Developer Experience, and AI teams to establish standards that become the preferred path for engineering teams globally. Rather than operating tools directly, you will define what good is, increase adoption, and measure outcomes through data and continuous improvement.

You will report to Head of DevEx & AI Tooling

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define and evolve enterprise engineering standards for CI/CD, cloud platforms, and developer tooling to enable secure, consistent, and scalable software delivery.
  • Design and maintain reusable automation patterns across GitHub Actions, Harness, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native platforms, embedding security, compliance, and quality controls by default.
  • Establish cloud landing zone, provisioning, governance, and deployment standards across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI to support efficient and cost-effective platform adoption.
  • Partner with engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver self-service developer experiences, automated onboarding, and streamlined software development workflows.
  • Measure and improve engineering effectiveness through DORA metrics, platform adoption insights, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance developer productivity and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Developer Experience, or a related technology discipline, with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD platforms, cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu), and modern software delivery practices within complex environments.
  • Experience establishing engineering standards across developer tools such as GitHub, Jira, Artifactory, and Confluence, while driving adoption through enablement and collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of cloud governance, software supply chain security, observability, progressive delivery, and engineering performance metrics, including DORA.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to align engineering, security, and platform teams around common standards and strategic outcomes.
