Company Description

ETAS – we’re part of the Bosch group and we drive embedded excellence with our automotive software. Tomorrow’s cars will be defined by software and here at ETAS we are at the forefront of this evolution to the software-defined vehicle. The solutions we are developing today will enable millions of cars to get closer to the dream of Autonomous Driving.

We are the experts in the industry and together we have decades of experience in software architecture, embedded development, agile methodologies, and test-driven development. Alongside our parent company Robert Bosch, we share the values of a better world for everyone and our common mission - Invented for Life.

Job Description

As an Agile Product Delivery Intern, you will shadow and work directly with one of our Scrum Masters (Delivery Managers) to help drive the development of our software.

  • You will have the chance to learn about agile software delivery management, with real world implementation of SCRUM / KANBAN and SAFe.
  • Your day may involve spread sheets, JIRA (planning) boards, presentations and emails.
  • You will be involved in all aspects of the delivery life cycle, from running team estimation meetings, daily “standups”, through to short term “sprint” planning and full release planning.
  • You will be involved in risk assessment and quarterly planning presentations to the company leadership team.
  • You will gain exposure to collaborating with diverse teams, including those located in different geographical regions. This will provide insights into the nuances of effective communication and collaboration in a multi-cultural global environment, understanding the benefits and challenges of working both in-person and remotely.

This is a very hands-on role that will see you deeply embedded within the team. We will give you real work and you will be expected to have responsibility for your own deliverables, but always with the support of your team. You will have a lot of support from our experienced Scrum Masters through direct mentoring and our community of practice, and once you are fully equipped with knowledge and understanding of the role, responsibility will be passed over to you.

Qualifications

You will be currently studying for an undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science, project management or similar.

The right candidate will be:

  • Proactive and keen to participate and network within the organization.
  • Possesses a mindset of continuous improvement, always seeking better ways to achieve goals and learn from experiences.
  • Strong facilitation skills or a keen interest in developing them to effectively guide meetings, discussions, and workshops.
  • If you are interested in software, or you think you might like to learn about how software is delivered or have an interest in a future career within the software world then this could be the right opportunity for you.

Additional Information

This 12-month placement will start in July 2027. This position is open to undergraduates who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their degree course.

We encourage you to share a portfolio alongside your CV to enhance your application.
