In this role you will lead and provide oversight of a network of Quality Representatives across multiple sites nationally, ensuring consistent implementation of quality systems, accreditation requirements, compliance obligations and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will coach, train, support and guide local quality personnel while driving best practice and quality excellence across the business.

This national role is open to candidates based in Perth, Sydney or Melbourne.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager of Industries & Environment department, you will ensure the Environmental quality system remains current, effective and aligned with operational needs, customer expectations, SGS requirements, legal obligations and relevant standards including NATA ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and other relevant standards. You will partner with managers and laboratory teams to provide guidance, tools, training and support that help maintain high standards across the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain, review and improve national EHS quality documentation and processes.
  • Ensure procedures reflect current Australian and international standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits, including annual audit planning.
  • Support laboratories with NATA ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and SGS compliance requirements.
  • Drive consistency and standardisation across laboratory quality systems.
  • Work with operational teams to define, document and implement process improvements.
  • Analyse performance data and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide quality and OI training, guidance and practical support to staff.
  • Maintain continuous improvement records and ensure corrective actions are closed on time.

Qualifications

About you

You will bring a strong quality mindset, practical leadership style and the ability to influence teams across a national laboratory network.

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with standards such as NATA, ISO and internal quality requirements.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and build alignment across multiple sites.
  • Confident communication skills with a professional and outcome-focused approach.
  • Comfortable translating standards and procedures into clear, practical processes.

What we offer

This is an opportunity to take on a visible national role with a global organisation, supporting laboratories that play an important part in delivering trusted testing, inspection and certification services.
