Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our dynamic team in Waterford, Ireland. In this role, you will be the heart of our coffee bar operation, creating exceptional beverages and memorable experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will combine technical skill with genuine hospitality, working collaboratively with your team to maintain a welcoming and efficient service environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in specialty coffee preparation while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, supportive setting.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffee creations, consistently meeting quality standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing customer needs with empathy and professionalism
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment processing equipment with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain meticulous cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, including equipment sanitization, stock rotation, and attractive product displays
- Restock supplies and ingredients proactively, ensuring the bar is always well-prepared for service periods
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in beverage preparation, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Support food service and light food preparation tasks as required by the operation
- Adhere to all food safety, health and safety regulations, and company procedures at all times
- Collaborate effectively with team members during peak periods, prioritizing tasks and supporting colleagues to maintain service flow
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment through reliable performance and a flexible, can-do attitude
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista, in hospitality, retail, or customer service roles is desirable but not essential
