Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dynamic catering team in Galway, Ireland. - Provide outstanding customer service to all customers and guests, demonstrating empathy and responsiveness to their needs and ensuring their satisfaction and comfort - Assist with food preparation and fundamental kitchen duties under guidance, adhering to all instructions and best practices - Support the set-up and clear-down of dining and service areas, maintaining efficiency, organisation, and a professional presentation at all times
- Operate tills and handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly where required, demonstrating basic numeracy skills - Maintain all areas in a clean, tidy, and well-presented condition at all times, with meticulous attention to detail - Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures and regulations, demonstrating commitment to maintaining the highest standards
- Assist with stock replenishment, inventory management, and the receipt of deliveries, working efficiently and systematically - Work collaboratively and supportively with the wider catering team to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive working environment - Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support colleagues and adapt to changing priorities, showing resilience in a dynamic setting
- Contribute proactively to the team's success by identifying opportunities for improvement and taking initiative where appropriate - Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene standards at all times
Qualifications

- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service environment - Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety best practices - Willingness to undertake induction training and develop your skill base within the role - Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, pressurised environments - Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
