Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team at RAF Lossiemouth on a zero hour contract. This flexible role is ideal for an experienced chef looking for work on an as-and-when-required basis, supporting the catering operation during periods of increased demand, annual leave cover, and special events.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals to specification
• Supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hospitality services as required
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and allergen management standards at all times
• Assisting with stock control, stock rotation, and food ordering
• Ensuring kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean and organised
• Following recipes, production standards, and company procedures
• Supporting the wider kitchen team to deliver excellent food and customer service
• Completing all relevant food safety and due diligence records

Qualifications

About you

• Previous chef experience is essential
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for producing high-quality food and delivering excellent service
