Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Service Worker to join our team at Colchester Institute, Colchester, CO3 3LL on a zero hour contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to become part of a busy catering team, supporting kitchen operations and helping to deliver excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the kitchen team with day-to-day catering operations
• Assisting Kitchen Porters with cleaning and washing up duties
• Receiving deliveries and transporting stock safely within the site
• Assisting with stock storage and stock rotation
• Providing excellent customer service
• Serving customers at food counters and service points
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and service areas
• Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times

Qualifications

About you

• Previous hospitality or catering experience is welcome but not essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards

Important Requirements

• Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment
