Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at the Officers' Mess, Aldergrove Flying Station, BT29 4BP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to work within a busy military catering environment, supporting food service operations while delivering
outstanding customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving food and beverages to customers
• Delivering excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
• Operating tills and handling customer payments accurately
• Replenishing food counters and service areas
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout dining and service areas
• Supporting stock replenishment and stock rotation activities
• Assisting with hospitality and function services when required
• Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider catering team with the smooth day-to-day operation of the Mess.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Good attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.

• Successful candidates will be required to obtain security clearance.
• An AccessNI check will be required prior to commencing employment.
