Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team in Waterford, Ireland. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our corporate facilities. Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team, you will ensure that all designated areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, creating a professional space where employees, visitors, and customers feel comfortable and valued.

• Carry out comprehensive cleaning and sanitisation of all designated areas, including offices, communal spaces, and facilities, to the highest standards - Stock and replenish cleaning materials and supplies in a timely and efficient manner - Maintain and store cleaning equipment correctly, ensuring all tools are in good working order and ready for use
• Identify, report, and escalate any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to management promptly - Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, COSHH requirements, and company procedures - Work independently and manage your workload effectively to meet quality standards and deadlines
• Communicate proactively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations and address any concerns - Demonstrate a customer-focused approach by ensuring all spaces reflect our commitment to excellence and professionalism - Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures, adapting to different environments and requirements - Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider facilities team and organisational goals

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; we are committed to providing comprehensive induction and training - Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene - Ability to work independently whilst managing your workload effectively and efficiently - Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work with a flexible attitude towards changing priorities
• Good people skills and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment - Sound understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace and COSHH requirements - Physical fitness and capability to perform manual cleaning tasks consistently - Willingness to undertake training and develop your skill base in cleaning methodologies and equipment operation
• Problem-solving ability to identify and report maintenance issues and potential hazards - Organised approach to following procedures, meeting deadlines, and adapting to different cleaning environments - Customer service orientation with a focus on creating welcoming and hygienic spaces - Adaptability and resilience in managing varied cleaning tasks and environments - Awareness of environmental and sustainability practices in cleaning operations
