As the Director of the Cardiac Non-Invasive Laboratory, you will play a critical role in overseeing and enhancing our echocardiography services. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, diagnostic accuracy, and operational efficiency. Our echocardiography laboratory is widely regarded for clinical excellence and state-of-the-art technology, providing advanced imaging aligned with continued growth of our associated clinical and academic programs. These aligned programs include not only our cutting-edge structural heart disease program but also our programs in mechanical circulatory support, cardiomyopathy, cardio-oncology, electrophysiology, and adult congenital heart disease.

The echo lab encompasses the procedures performed at the main CSMC campus and at a number of our regional affiliates. There are currently 18 attending echocardiography specialist MDs based at CSMC and 43 sonographers in addition to clinical cardiology fellows and a dedicated nursing and administrative team. Over 64,000 procedures are performed annually, including TTEs, TEEs, stress echoes, strain imaging, and intracardiac studies.

The role of the Director will involve leading both the clinical and academic mission, which includes maximizing research productivity in the field of echocardiography at Cedars-Sinai and mentoring the fellows and junior faculty in career development in this arena. Collaboration with other cardiovascular imaging modalities is also a priority for the Department. This position may also include participation in outpatient or inpatient consultative care.
