About the team
Stripe Terminal helps businesses extend their online presence into the physical world by making it easy to accept in-person payments.
The Logistics Engineering team builds the systems and web experiences that support the end-to-end lifecycle of Stripe Terminal devices - from manufacturing and inventory to ordering, fulfillment, returns, warranties, and repairs. Our mission is to make complex physical-device operations simple and scalable. We build secure, reliable systems that help users manage orders and devices while supporting Stripe’s day-to-day logistics operations.
What you’ll do:

- Develop APIs, integrations, and internal tools that connect Stripe with manufacturers, logistics providers, repair centers, and other partners.
- Build intuitive web experiences that help Terminal users and internal teams order devices, manage orders, and handle returns and repairs.
- Improve the efficiency and scalability of logistics operations by identifying patterns and simplifying complex workflows.
- Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to bring new capabilities to Terminal users.

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Requirements
- A strong technical background, including 2-5 years of professional software development experience
- Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
- Empathy, strong communication skills and effective communication with stakeholders
- A learning mindset, regardless of level or experience
- The ability to drive clear next steps when encountering ambiguous spaces without clear lines of ownership
- High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude to help others raise the bar
- An ability to think creatively and holistically about reducing risk in a complex environment
