Experience:

  • Strong system design instincts — you can reason through distributed systems trade-offs, identify failure modes, and choose the right architecture for the problem
  • Practical experience with AI development to improve product experiences
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming; experience with the languages and frameworks used in our stack is a plus
  • Solid foundations in relational and NoSQL databases — data modeling, query optimization, and operational considerations
  • Experience in finance including expensing or travel platforms is a strong plus
  • Fin Tech experience is a strong plus
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions in writing, in design reviews, and across teams
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Benefits:

  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
  • Mental health benefits
  • Family building benefits
  • Child care and pet benefits
  • 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
  • Subsidized commuter benefits
  • Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
